Ett sökande efter punkter där kopplingar mellan mänskliga och mer-än-mänskliga världar kan ta plats. Projektet följer eldlusens säsongensbaserade rörelser, från träd till byggnader, och fokuserar på de rumsliga resurser i form av sprickor och glipor som erbjuder skydd och värme under vintern. Varje steg närmare lusens värld väcker nya frågor om svårigheterna i att försöka förstå en annan livsform. Delade arkitektoniska element ses här som passager där arters geografier överlappar, med potentialen att förvandla avståndet mellan oss till en scen.

New Nodes är ett videoverk bestående av animerat material från 3D-scanningar och dokumentation av fysiska interventioner. Circles in the Night är ett meddelande till kvarterets eldlöss, genom ljud, vibrationer och ljus, i ett försök att berätta för dem om en karta som kanske kan vara intressant. Kartan visar positioner av geotaggade fotografier jag tagit av möjliga övervintringsplatser i kvarteret Moabit, den presenterades i Ständige Vertretung, en liten träbyggnad som på senaste tiden tagits över mer och mer av naturen.

A search for points where connections between human and more-than-human worlds can take place. Following the seasonal movement of the firebug, from trees to buildings, focusing on the spatial resources in the form of cracks and crevices that offer shelter and warmth during winter. Each step closer to the bug’s world raises new questions about the challenges of understanding another life form. Shared architectural elements are here seen as passages where species overlap, with the potential to turn the distance between us into a stage.

New Nodes is a video work consisting of animated material from 3D scans and documentation from physical interventions. Circles in the Night is a message to the firebugs of the neighbourhood, through sound, vibration and light, trying to tell them about a map they might be interested in. The map shows the positions of geotagged photographs I have taken of possible owerwintering spots in the Moabit neighbourhood, it was presented at Ständige Vertretung, a small wooden building that rescently has been more and more taken over by nature.
