Projektet Shadow Population utgår från olika former av aktioner i stadsrummet och undersöker artöverskridande relationer i kvarteret Moabit. Ett försök att använda Berlins lindträd som möjliga noder för kommunikation över artgränser. Verket består av tre filmer och ett ljud som syftar till att på olika sätt lyfta fram det gemensamma i form av delandet av stadsrummet och dess fysiska element.
I kvarteret Moabit delar två helt olika grupper av djur - människor och eldlöss - samma resurser. Eldlöss hör hemma i Moabit och på kvarterets trädstammar ses de ofta forma stora ansamlingar bestående av från tio till ibland hundra individer. Genom användandet av dessa delade resurser definieras en geografisk gemenskap och nya relationer upprättas och omskapas kontinuerligt. Aktionerna som hittills genomförts kan ses som närmanden, försök till kopplingar som kan lyckas eller misslyckas. Små förändringar tar plats under ytan.

The project Shadow Population is based on actions in the urban space and investigates interspieces relations in the Moabit neighbourhood. A try to use Berlin’s linden trees as nodes for internatural communication. The work consists of three films and a sound that aims to, in different ways, highlight the commonalities in terms of shared space and physical elements.
In the Moabit neighbourhood, two completely different groups of animals - humans and firebugs - share the same resources. Firebugs are native to Moabit and are frequently observed forming aggregations containing from ten to hundred individuals. Through the use of these common resources a geographical community is defined, and new relations emerge and reshapes continuously. The actions taking place so far can be seen as encounters, connections which may or may not be accomplished. Small changes are taking place under the surface.
